Project StoryHistory of Fujitsuka District and the Reconstruction from the Great East Japan Earthquake
The Fujitsuka district on the eastern coast of Sendai City, which was severely damaged by the Great East Japan Earthquake, used to be surrounded by tranquil rice paddies and prospered through boat traffic. To create a space where people gather again in the Fujitsuka district, which had been vacated due to the collective relocation under the Disaster Prevention Group Relocation Promotion Projects, Aquaignis Sendai has been established as a complex themed on food, agriculture, and spa. Visitors can enjoy a relaxing "therapeutic bathing" by soaking in the hot springs and "eating" seasonal ingredients while we "nurture" the ingredients in new ways. As a facility that cooperates and interacts with various facilities and local communities in the coastal areas of Sendai City and Natori City, we will strive so that visitors can enjoy our services for many years to come.
